The Big Move
Finally, after months of hard work and preparation the sales staff and management of Impey UK were able to move into their new place of work.
It has been almost a year since the start of the build, but the wait has been worth it. The new offices, facilities and warehouse space are a vast improvement on the original building which is now home to Impey Projects - the technical and manufacturing division of Impey UK.
Somerset Community Foundation
As a company of ethics and beliefs, Impey UK has recently teamed up with the Somerset Community Foundation - an independent funding body designed to tackle poverty and disadvantage throughout Somerset. By setting up a named fund with the SCF it is now possible for Impey to support community based projects and give back to our local community. As part of the SCF endowment fund, the money will be used to provide long term support to local communities and ensures that aid goes directly to those who need it most.
Touch Nature
As part of our continuing support for the 'Touch Nature' company in Nepal, Impey UK is now promoting the Touch Nature brand of natural soaps, candles and essential oils. Each individual purchase of an Impey shower tray or Aqua-Dec will be offered with a complementary Natural Bath Set consisting of Face and Body Soap and Scented Candle.
So, by purchasing Impey products you are also directly helping Jo Tan and her team at Touch Nature to provide the women of Nepal with skills employment and sanctuary, free from a life of poverty and abuse.
Nearing Completion
March '07 saw the beginning of construction for the 3rd major Impey building and now 9 months later the new building is nearing completion. Now as we approach the end of the year there has been steady progress with the building approaching completion. Of course, the main structure was completed some time ago and now all that remains is the outfitting of the new offices, and the finishing touches to be made to the company computer network.
The building will be the new home for the company directors and the sales processing team, plus the manufacturing plant and development facility will be moving from the local town of Chard to join us at the Conquest Trading Estate in Ilton.
Having the entire company on one single trading estate should make dramatic improvements to internal company communication and enable Impey to be even more responsive!
Completion is planned for March '08.

The entire range of half height shower doors and cubicles from Impey UK now comes with a 5 year warranty.

ITN Impey Showcase
Impey have worked closely with ITN to produce a new promotional DVD that showcases the range of specialist healthcare products available from the company.
The DVD features testimonials from real life people who feel that their quality of life has been dramitacally improved thanks to the efforts and specialist knowledge of those at Impey UK.

Charity In Nepal
Through membership with an organisation called Transformational Business Network, Impey UK has recently formed a link with two companies in Kathmandu, Nepal. Green Leaf and Touch Nature are companies that produce natural based products such as soap, lotions and herbal essences.
The aim of the network is to provide small businesses in developing parts of the world with expertise and finance - the goal is to enable the businesses to grow and develop thus enabling them to employ more people and work themselves out of poverty in a long-term and sustainable way.
As there is no benefit system in Nepal, this employment with its support framework for the family means that the employees (most of whom are women) can be free from what could be a life below the poverty line.
Expansion at Impey
March '07 saw the beginning of construction for the 3rd major Impey Building. The building will complete the hat trick for Impey with special consideration being given for a modern design as it will be used as the new company head office.
The existing building will be converted for manufacturing and project development, as well as housing a new company product showroom.
